She has completed her graduation from prestigious Institutes of the India. (MBBS from Grant Medical College and JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai & Post-Graduation (MD, DNB, FCPS, DDV) from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College & Hospital, Sion, Mumbai.)

After completing her post-graduation, she was awarded fellowship by "International Society of Dermatology (ISD)" at Bern, Switzerland under mentorship of Professor Luca Borradori. (Past President of European Academy of Dermatology & Venereology)

She has also been awarded a fellowship in contact dermatitis by Contact & Occupational Dermatoses Forum of India (CODFI), India under Mentorship of Professor Hemangi Jerajani, founder member of CODFI.

Dr Swagata has academic/ teaching experience of 10 years as an Assistant Professor in the Top Medical Colleges in the country (Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Hospital & MGM Medical College & Hospital & Lokmanya Tilak Municipal College & Hospital).

Dr Swagata Tambe has pursed her interest in Nail diseases during her Fellowship at Inselspital University Hospital Bern, Switzerland, under guidance of Stalwarts in Nail dermatology Professor Eckart Haneke. She has many publications to her name in the diagnosis and management of nail tumours. Common nail disease like bacterial, viral and fungal nail infections, inflammatory nail diseases like psoriasis and lichen planus and Benign and malignant nail tumours can be diagnosed by investigations like dermoscopy, Nail Ultrasonography and nail biopsy. After appropriate diagnosis the conditions can be treated by medical or surgical treatment.
Experience in Skin Allergies and Allergic Contact Dermatitis
Dr Swagata Tambe is a fellow of Contact and Occupation Dermatoses Forum of India, the only specialized society in India working for the diagnosis and treatment of allergic Skin Diseases. Clinic offers diagnostic patch testing and photo-patch testing using standard and customized allergen panels according to each individual patient’s exposures and unique history. Autologous serum skin test is also done for the diagnosis of urticaria whenever indicated.
